Rev. Mark Johnson
As the son of a Lutheran minister, Christian faith has always played a very important role throughout Pastor Mark Johnson’s entire life. After receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, he ministered to two small parish churches in Rothsay, Minnesota, before answering the call to come to St. John Lutheran in 1998. Pastor Mark enjoys all aspects of parish ministry, especially leading worship, preaching, teaching, and reaching out to old and new members alike at St. John to provide pastoral care. In his free time, he likes to read, exercise, ride bicycle, play frisbee, watch the Twins and play the piano (and boy, can he really sing!)
Pastor Mark and his wife, Suzanne, live in Belle Plaine and have three grown sons.
Rev. Sarah Timian
Pastor Sarah Timian, a native of North Dakota, did her undergraduate studies at Concordia College in Moorhead. She then attended Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and spent three years at her first call at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma, Wisconsin. In 2015, she was called to St. John to join Pastor Mark in walking with us in our ministry as we grow in our faith.
