Mission Trip Pampered Chef fundraiser began on March 1. A booth will be set up between services to place orders on Sunday, March 7, Wednesday, March 17 and one last Sunday on March 21. Memorials have been given in memory of Adeline Viehman (Susan Stier’s Mother) to the Outdoor Flower Fund by Bruce & Susan Volek, Nan Herman, Dale & Susan Stier. A memorial has been given in memory of Lorena Lueders to the Building Fund by Myrtle Busch. St. John Youth are selling Gift Cards (known as SCRIP) to raise money for a mission trip to Yakama, Washington this summer. These gift cards can be used for weekly gas and grocery expenses, as well as monthly purchases for clothing, entertainment, and home projects. We will need those spots filled. Please check out the sheet and put your name down today. On behalf of our Sunday School – Thank you! Soups for March 17 are Chili & Chicken Dumpling . Sandwiches are BBQ’s,, Egg Salad, and Ham. Confirmation Group Serving is Natalie Spalding & Sherri Dandurand.. Confirmation Students are expected to attend each Wednesday service with an adult Lenten Mentor and to fill out and turn in a Lenten service note each week. Sunday morning, March 14th, between worship services Dr. Darrell Jodock from Gustavus Adolphus College will be presenting a forum on “Understanding Judaism – Why is it important?” This event is sponsored by our Adult Education and Fellowship Ministgry Team. Please plan to join us between services for this interesting and informative presentation. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING WORLD VISION’S 30 HOUR FAMINE! Last Friday and into Saturday, 21 youth from Belle Plaine went without eating for 30 hours and raised $980.15 to help fight world hunger! The money raised will be sent to World Vision to help feed and care for 2 children for over a year. Our [...] Stjohn 30hr Famine The cookbooks put together by the Women of the Church will now be available for purchase at the price of 2 books for $5.00. Get the kids out of the house and bowl away the winter blues. Children’s Ministry has scheduled a family bowling party for all grades on March 7th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Borough Bowl.
